Job Title: Frac Equipment Operator
Location: Grande Prairie, AB / Clairmont, AB
Contract Length: 6 months, with possibility of extension or being hired on
Shift: 14 days on, 14 days off
Description
The Frac Equipment Operator must be able to conduct proper pre/post trip inspections and also learns to rig-up/down high and low pressure blending equipment. Must be able to perform basic maintenance on trucks, pumping equipment, frac iron and hoses. Drives various pieces of heavy equipment, operates a forklift and maintains all DOT and inspection paperwork. Works safely in a team environment and always keeps work equipment and trucks clean.

Working Conditions/Environment
- Regularly operates in a highly safety-conscious environment, outdoor and indoor.
- Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
- Class 1 or 3 License preferred
- Proper frac manifolding and blending experience
- Having equipment ready to pump on time.
- Checks all fluids and visually inspects all equipment prior to start-up.
- Ability to rig-up all frac equipment in a safe and timely manner.
- Communicates with frac supervisor during all aspects of the job.
- Must have all chemicals accounted for and ready to pump.
- Expected to run frac equipment.
- Major responsibility is with the equipment and not wandering away from it.
- Communicates any issues to Frac Supervisor.
- Assists in mentoring equipment operators in frac operations.
- Performs basic preventative maintenance.
- Ensures proper LOTO procedures are followed.
- Fills packing lube after the completion of each stage.
- Inspects unit and be ready to pump on time.
- Completes all necessary inspection forms for each piece of equipment.
- Walks site to ensure that all equipment is properly shut-down and turned off.
- Ensures all chemicals are safely cleaned up, accounted for and secured.
- Fills packing lube.
- Assists in housekeeping before leaving location.
- Communicates any issues to Frac Supervisor.
