Contract: Engineering Manager / Madrid

We are delighted to be partnering with a Chemical manufacturing giant for the appointment of an Engineering Manager for a major new build work scope.

The role will be working for the client overseeing Design work by an assigned EPC contractor in Madrid Spain. The roles will offer a long term contract duration and the opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to join a multi $billion project at the very first stages.

About Project 
The client has committed to making major multi $billion investment in new production facilities in the Middle East region. It will be the first plant of its kind in the region when it starts up 2025.

Role Overview 

• Oversee EPC contractor FEED and Detailed Design activities 
• Lead and develop project plans to ensure project is delivered on time within budget and to correct specifications
• Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
• Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes
• Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.

Qualifications and Experience needed

• Minimum 15 years exp delivering multi $billion mega projects from initial conception through all phases of lifecycle, covering FEED, Detailed Design, Construction, Commissioning and Handover. 
• Ability to lead multi-disciplined Engineering team
• Previous exp overseeing major design works being carried out by EPC contractors
