EX Inspector / Algeria

We have a current opportunity for a EX Inspector on a long term contract basis. The position will be based in Algeria on 28/28

Lead the team responsible for Hazardous Equipment Inspection and Repair

Responsibilities:

• Inspect all Hazardous Area Equipment located in classified "Hazardous Area Locations", across sites
• Assist in developing a registry of all electrical and instrumental equipment located in "Hazardous Area Locations"
• Identify all items that do not comply with applicable standards and specifications
• Manage and report daily reports to reflect daily inspection/repair progress
• Manage "Permit to Work" as required
• Actively participate in training and development of national technicians
• Rectify any anomalies identified

Competencies:

• Degree diploma in Electrical/Instrumental Engineering
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Oil and gas or petrochemical industry and minimum 3 years' experience as EX inspector
• Possess a strong experience in Electrical/Instrumental Inspection, maintenance and installations of equipment in hazardous areas
• Possess a valid COMPEX/ATEX Certificate
• Fluent in English

French is a 'nice to have' not essential.

this is to start early quarter 2 in 2023 and will be very long term.
