The process engineer & development manager is responsible for the delivery of process and engineering objectives for new projects and improvements. This individual ensures that the team and other departments work together cohesively. He will be responsible for evaluating processes, equipment reliability and configuring process production systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role will be:
· Plan, organize, direct, cost control and implementation of approved projects. Conformance with Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and quality control.
· Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
· Maintain reliable and safe process systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, cost and changeovers.
· Assume responsibility for risk assessment, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, for the health and safety of both company staff and the wider community.
· Assume responsibility for Capex Management to meet the company strategic targets of the company.
· Prepare and/or review cost estimates for the proposal of capital and replacement budgets.
· Provide technical support through activities such as equipment design and specification,
machinery trouble shooting and equipment inspections, as well as supervision during Plant
Turnarounds.
We are looking for a Bachelor’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 20+ years’ engineering experience in a chemical industry or refining environment. Fertilizer
manufacturing experience is a plus and a minimum of 15+ years’ experience as a manager or supervisor.
