Drilling/Workover Logistics & Materials Engineer

We are looking for a Drilling/Workover Logistics & Materials Engineer to work in Uganda on a contract basis. This will be a 24 month duration, on a 28/28 rotation paying a day rate.

Job Duties include:

- Verify the readiness of contractors and their equipment required for the performance of the operations, as well as ensuring all non-required equipment is backloaded, under the direction of the DCSSV.
- Ensure with DCSSV that all required equipment for next operations and unrequired backloads are in the 3 week lookahead planning to ensure continuous optimized operations
- Coordinate and arrange personnel transportation on/off rigs
- Ensure correct POB is updated at all times 24/7 not to overshoot the maximum POB, and to liaise POB forecast with DCSSV for 3 week lookahead planning.

Ideal candidate will have:

- Diploma or degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Previous experience for a major operator
- Experience in remote operations (African experience would be a plus)
- High proficiency with IT and industry software including MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of Wellview.
- Up to date with necessary HSE trainings
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role supporting Wells operations 
- Experience of SAP is preferred
- Fluency in English
