. This will be a full-time permanent position, working with a team of engineers, designers and project engineers to lead, deliver & support small and medium sized Oil & Gas projects.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide technical mechanical engineering expertise and be responsible for executing brownfield modification projects, as well as leading & overseeing the development of a growing engineering team and supporting progress through various phases of projects.

Accountabilities
- Lead mechanical engineering role, carrying out mechanical engineering expertise for design and documentation from initiation through to construction stage
- Liaise with other lead engineers to interface issues relating to rotating equipment, static equipment, piping, materials and tanks
- Review of mechanical drawings, requisitions and specifications for modification projects
- Participate in specific detail design reviews and evaluations including technical safety reviews of design, HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, risk analysis
- Assure technical oversight of Engineering Contractor activities
Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
- 5-10 years’ experience working with pressure equipment (and ideally used Finite Element Analysis)
- Diverse range of mechanical engineering skills, including rotating/static equipment, tanks, piping and design
- Able to carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation through the project lifecycle
- Experience using PV Elite, AutoPIPE or other design programs
- Experience working in Oil & Gas or similar heavy industries
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
