Hydrocarbon Finance Manager

Location: Deer Park, TX

Type: Contract

Scope:

This team is responsible for mass balance and inventory activities.

Responsibilities:

Immediate focus on stabilizing back-office accounting activities that moved to the site
Ensure that all hydrocarbon inventory positions are accurately recorded in the Oil Accounting System
Develop an in-depth understanding of the products and custody transfer points associated with the inventory
Maintain and coordinate updates of Product Codes in the system
Become the Subject Matter Expert and Lead in projects for the system
Identify and implement work process improvements
Manage monthly inventory and mass balance targets and any deviation investigated and reconciled
Responsible for the positive outcome of internal audits and reviews of the hydrocarbon inventory and mass balance process

Qualifications:

BBA Finance or Accounting
5 to 10 years’ experience
Microsoft Suite, SAP, Power BI
Oil & Gas experience, Refinery experience preferred
Able to gain the confidence of various internal and external parties building on strong knowledge and communication skills
Problem solving mindset with the courage to question non-routine items by bringing analytics and insights to the table
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to relay financial information to people with different financial backgrounds
Ability to understand end- users needs and translate into successful delivery
Continuous improvement mindset and ability to function well within a team
