The client is a specialist within project management & consultancy services to the Oil & Gas industry, and are now looking to hire 2 individuals with significant MS Project & Primavera experience. They will be offering the roles as 1 year fixed term assignments, but these are very likely to be extended.
In order to be considered, you must hold some form of EU citizenship, be able to speak fluent English along with being degree qualified.
In return, the client offers an attractive package (with guaranteed monthly per diem), 4 x flights back home per year, accommodation plus a company vehicle / petrol.
Key responsibilities:
Leads and facilitates project planning process, compiles basis of schedule:
- Sets up the project schedule environment using approved templates and modifies those together with Site & Project Manager to fit for project needs.
- Actively participate and support the project and site management team. Take identified issues into consideration when needed to develop and control the schedule
- Develop project baseline schedule according to contract and participate actively change, risk and claim management
- Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with standard of best project practice and using approved templates
- Identify the project critical path, monitor it closely and communicate any changes to project manager and site manager and other team members
- Evaluates the project progress and forecast the future based on inputs from the other software tools or from project team
- Actively engages with project team and relevant customer representatives as well as other stakeholders
Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Develop, establish and track baselines
- Perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans if needed by support of project manager or project team
- Produce a critical path analysis and report any variations against baseline
- Monitor and analyze project progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date
- Co-ordinate, collate and report progress reports from sub-contactors
- Actively identify risks and opportunities and communicate them to site and project management
- Support the Project Control Manager with contract management tasks
- Identify and report on the impacts of changes to the project, including resources, durations and KPIs if resource management is utilized in project
- Lead preparation of recovery and acceleration plans with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide planning direction, training and support to key members of the project team
- Support project manager and site manager at project meetings
- Active written feedback on where Valmet way to operate can be developed
