Location: Lake Charles

Duration: 2+ year contract assignment

 

The Mechanical Engineer is part of the Capital Projects Discipline Engineering Group supporting FEL, FEED, and the Detail Design/Construction phases. This position is responsible for engineering activities and the development of technical deliverables to meet the schedule, scope, budget, and quality requirements of projects.

 

Essential Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of capital project experience.
• Experience and knowledge of the design of fixed and/or rotating equipment.
• Experience with API codes and regulations.
• Proficient in most common software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing skills
• Experience delivering on critical projects with tight deadlines.

 

Key Deliverables for Role:

 

• Support the project team in planning, developing, and implementing site capital projects.
• Provide technical direction to contractor staff to ensure compliance.
• Drive technical innovation and integrated energy solutions.
• Review mechanical fabrication drawings.
• Implement new and useful concepts effectively.
• Strong understanding of cost/benefit analysis and budgeting.
• Provide hands-on technical support to the construction team at the project site.
• Work with internal and external project teams.
