Contract: Senior Project Manager / Belgium

The role will be initially a contract based opportunity with a long term duration. The client is open to considering candidates on a permanent basis as well.

Our client offer plant scale combined with reliability, strategic sites in both Europe and USA and a focus on continually improving cost structures, technologies and SHE initiatives

They have a major investment on their Antwerp facility circa £100 million. They are looking to make a senior appointment within the Project management team with a long term strategic vision in mind offering a candidate the chance to grow and develop within the wider group.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall project cost generation and management through the project phases.
• Provides project management expertise, developing strategy proposals and risk mitigation plans, conducting feasibility evaluations, and delivering to budget, timescale and scope.
• Manages and supports Contractors and internal project team members to deliver the project goals.
• Leads multiple major projects to support the development and implementation of one or more elements of the client business, Technical Development, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial Operations,
• Leads cross-functional teams to help optimise value, time, resources and risks, providing clear leadership and direction to project teams as necessary.

 

Qualifications / Experience

• Project management experience, focusing on CAPEX & OPEX
• MS Project – Expert skill level
• Ideally have worked in project engineering role previously – hands-on/technical background
• Commercial awareness – handling multi-million-pound projects
• Strong & effective communicator – working across multi-functional teams/departments
• Project management qualification is preferred
• Dutch speaker preferred
• Ability to work in Antwerp 5 days a week
