The Engineering team in Aberdeen are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer / Task Lead.
- To understand strategic aspect of the project in order to implement optimum approach
- Responsible for the delivery of cost estimates and schedule to client as part of the work approval process
- Working with Hub (Senior Project Engineers / Task Leads / Focal Points) to ensure on time delivery
- Responsible for the execution of work in line with the agreed schedule and budgets
- Agreement of, and delivery of the Contract
- To be responsible for maintaining plans, schedules and progress reports
- To manage scope costs and ensure that delivery is within the approved budget
- To liaise with the Client Representatives Interface with delivery team on and offshore to ensure delivery is undertaken in line with the approved plan
- Identification of Risks and propose mitigating solutions and key driver for implementation
- Ensure Project Kick-off meetings, are recorded along with distribution of minutes within 24 hours
- Facilitate project progress reviews as required, record and distribute minutes Facilitate regular client review meetings as required, record and distribute minutes
- Provide input to monthly management reports Identification of project cost savings to the contract management team
- Identification of potential cost and growth handback at the end of each project phase to the contract management team Interface with IVB where required for verification activities
- Identify innovative and lean methods of working to drive continual improvement on the contract
- Ensure that the work entry and change process are implemented
- Ensure impacts of work entry and change are adequately identified and assessed
- Timely identification of any Change requests
- Ensure the AKiMS tracker is kept up to date on a weekly basis
- In depth understanding of the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry
- Previous Project Engineering experience working with multi-discipline teams
- A broad understanding of the key engineering disciplines
- A strong understanding of the capabilities of the key engineering systems and tools in operation within the upstream Oil & Gas Industry
- Ability to manage project plans from initiation through to completion
- Ability to manage project costs
- Degree preferred or > 10 yrs experience in similar position
