Sr. TAR Scheduler
Responsible to deliver all Turnaround managed schedules. As the TA Scheduler, you will partner with the Turnaround, Projects, and Maintenance planning teams to develop, review, track, and report on progress through the entire Turnaround Life Cycle. To be successful as the TA Scheduler, you will need to demonstrate experience in following and applying scheduling processes from creation to close out.

Responsible to deliver all Turnaround managed schedules. As the TA Scheduler, you will partner with the Turnaround, Projects, and Maintenance planning teams to develop, review, track, and report on progress through the entire Turnaround Life Cycle. To be successful as the TA Scheduler, you will need to demonstrate experience in following and applying scheduling processes from creation to close out.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a safety leader during Turnaround activity and during normal operations.
- Develop and maintain Turnaround managed schedules to standard guidelines to support efficient execution of work, cash flows and cost forecasts.
- Follow the Integrated Scheduling Process to ensure all department schedules are integrated into a Site Integrated Schedule, this includes working with the department’s planning groups and prioritizing work based on SIMOPs.
- During the Turnaround event, provide field verification of progress provided to monitor performance against realistic targets to ensure that objectives and KPI’s are met.
- Ensure appropriate application of change control (discovery work) process.
- Support continuous improvement by providing lessons learned after TAR Events.
- Provide schedule outputs throughout the scheduling process to support the Turnaround cost and planning teams.
- Work with the planning team to Identify, create, maintain, Job prioritization and resource leveling within the schedule.
- Create and maintain reports through P6 to provide status reports to management throughout all phases of a TAR.
- Run and correct all code check filters (global filters) before publishing schedule data.
- Lead and navigate during integrated scheduling and interactive planning sessions with the planning groups.
- Ensure Schedule is coded for Primavera Team Member and use it for schedule progress updates.
- Solely responsible for scheduling and leveling assigned scope during execution.
- Regularly audit “Schedule Logs” and schedules to verify all department requirements are being met.
- Work closely with cost analyst and head planner to ensure the P6 plan labor is feeding and matches the current CVP stage's budget.
- Minimum 5 years of Turnaround scheduling experience using Primavera Web and Client.
- Knowledge of schedule leveling by resource, priority, critical equipment, etc.
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Must have strong communication skills and works well within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently, thinks creatively and analytically, and makes quick and sound decisions.
- Ability to work within the Company scheduling guidelines and norms
- Comprehensive understanding of the sequencing and prioritization of task associated with refinery equipment.
- Knowledge of turnaround methodology.
- Knowledge of work control, monitoring, and measurement systems for scheduling.
- Prior experience with critical path scheduling, work breakdown structure, critical path analyses, bar charts, and task sequencing techniques.
- Understanding of cost control and scheduling terminology and techniques.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction work practices and planning stage gate processes.
