The Regulatory Analyst will be a member of the company’s Regulatory team, reporting to the Global Regulatory Manager. This role will be supporting 24/7 operations, and primarily responsible for the following:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Prepare correspondence, documents and regulatory permits and forms for various jurisdictional agencies.
- Interface with company personnel, consultants, and agency representatives to ensure timely processing of the required documents so that company objectives and agency requirements are met.
- Coordinate with company engineering, drilling, and operations throughout the decommissioning process of offshore assets.
- Prepare, submit, and obtain necessary drilling permits to plug and abandon offshore wells.
- Prepare all drilling reports during and after drilling activities (EORs, WARs, etc.).
- Prepare, submit, and obtain necessary pipeline permits to decommission and remove offshore pipelines.
- Prepare, submit, and obtain necessary structural permits and post-operations reports to facilitate the decommissioning and removal of offshore facilities.
- Extensive interfacing with federal, state, and local agencies to maintain regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Knowledge of BSEE and BOEM permitting requirements, including experience preparing and making regulatory submittals
- At least 5 years of experience working in Gulf of Mexico regulatory permitting
- Knowledge of making TIMS Web submittals and/or preparing Gulf of Mexico permits (drilling, pipeline, and structural)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, administrative, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience working directly with Regulators to answer questions and facilitate solutions
- High school diploma or equivalent.
