For the Scarborough Project several activities are required to stabilise and protect the Trunkline. This includes trench dredging and engineered backfill, shore crossing preparation, deep water seabed excavation and the subsea placement of some 250,000 tonnes of quarried rock dumping. A dedicated civils team has been set up to support these work fronts to ensure the Scarborough trunkline can be installed and operated safely and efficiently.

The role would add to the civils team and is required to ensure consistent Company involvement and oversight on Contractor’s onsite scope delivery and management of operational and local stakeholder interfaces.

Duties & Responsibilities: Key tasks are:
  • Integral part of package delivery team for the Shore crossing works and the dredging & rock supply/installation elements of the Seabed Intervention Contract
  • Hold Contractor to account in delivering HSEQ KPI’s for the respective work scopes, setting high expectations;
  • Manage change and technical deviations;
  • Interface with the owner’s engineering team and be a focal point for environmental team
Skills & Experience:  Expectations:
  • Degree qualified engineer (civil, mechanical, navel/marine)
  • Passionate about health, safety, quality and environment
  • Minimum 10 yrs experience in project execution in either client representative and/or senior contractors role
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Keen to work in a project team environment, with multiple internal and external interfaces
  • Willing be site (Pilbara)/vessel based during construction period on FiFo basis
Experience and knowledge (some or all):
  • Pipeline and/or marine civils construction experience
  • Knowledge of Dredging & Backfill operations
  • Knowledge of Rock quarrying and subsea rock installation operations
  • Knowledge of marine surveying techniques and positioning
  • Experience with environmental impact management associated with offshore civils operations (water quality, fauna interaction, etc.)
  • Experience with Australian Industrial Relations (maritime)
