Contract: Electrical Engineer / Australia

Looking for an Electrical Engineer for an 18-month contract for a genuine career opportunity.
 
This position is office based in Brisbane and ideal for candidates currently looking for their next contract opportunity.
To be successful in this role, a background and understanding of how the Oil and Gas industry operates is highly regarded.
 
Job Requirements:

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant Professional Qualification
• General experience up to 5-6 years in discipline
• Prior work within the Oil and Gas industry is highly regarded.

 
 
About You:

• Up to 5-6 years’ experience in discipline engineering design roles with Electrical and Instrumentation design for industrial or gas compression plants.
• Knowledge required in HV network design and understanding of Australian and International Standards relating to electrical networks.
• Knowledge in design of industrial plants including hazardous area applications.
• Previous experience in all phases of power and electrical projects is preferred.
• Experience with localised generation, power transmission and power distribution equipment.
• Understanding of the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience with electrical design tools (ETAP, SmartPlant Electrical, etc.).
