Senior Commercial Advisor / Scotland

The client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Commercial Advisor, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Represent the Company in JV related commercial matters as the Commercial Committee Representative and attend relevant JV commercial meetings
Lead negotiations and work closely with legal advisers in the drafting of the commercial agreements or handling of any disputes.
Interface and liaise with all the relevant disciplines of the Company (finance, subsurface, facilities, project, drilling, BD, legal, etc.) to ensure that:
o the Company remains commercially compliant with existing agreements; and
o at development stage or in the context of disputes, the negotiation and drafting of new agreements or handling of disputes captures all relevant risks and opportunities.
Provide advice, clarification and guidance in relation to commercial matters.
Manage existing commercial agreements to ensure that all rights and obligations are enforced and fulfilled respectively.
Collaborate and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders and business partners across the business, influencing and negotiating with parties as required.

Qualifications and Experience
Substantial experience of negotiating agreements for the access to third party infrastructures (CTIA, TPOSA, TA, GSA, etc.).
Substantial experience in establishing and managing Joint Ventures and associated agreements (JOA, Joint Bidding Agreements, Farm-In agreements, Study Agreements, DSA, etc.).
Knowledge and understanding of the Commercial Code of Practice and the Infrastructure Code of Practice and OGA Stewardship Expectations.
Understand economics models and ideally can run simple economics.
Good knowledge of Excel.
Degree level qualification and experience in business, finance, or law.,
