HYDRO MECHANICAL COORDINATOR - CANADA

The client is currently involved in the execution of major Hydroelectric Project in Canada, they are seeking mechanical coordinator for the project to mobilise asap.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Organize and lead internal start-up meetings regarding technical activities and design reviews with the various Engineering Departments involved;
• Observe the Coordination of technical documentation (parameter specifications and standards, inspection procedures and plans) necessary for the purchasing and outside manufacturing of different systems or components of a project;
• Participates in the development and daily update of the general and detailed planning of engineering activities of projects under their supervision;
• Participates in negotiations and technical discussions with the main suppliers and subcontractors and the Procurement Department;
• Ensures an efficient follow-up, support and management of technical aspects for the entire duration of the project with customer representatives, internal Engineering Departments involved, suppliers and subcontractors as well as teams in charge of on-site work;
• Examine technical documentation and correspondence for projects, including quality records, installation procedures, drawings and operations and maintenance manuals;
• Offers the required technical support to prepare and manage customer and supplier claims.
• Acts as a technical resource within their project team
• Reporting progress to our client and to senior management at regular intervals
• As a member of the site visit team, gather information as required to complement the related design activities

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 15 years' experience in the field of hydroelectricity or energy producing equipment and related manufacturing activities;
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in turbine and generators installation
• Proven experience and accomplishments related to the efficient management of projects with an inherent complexity and an accelerated schedule;
• Experience interfacing between civil, mechanical, and electrical work
• Excellent listening skills and verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English
• Availability to travel, as necessary.
• Bachelor of Mechanical
• Experience with scheduling for construction projects and interface management
• Familiarity with contract requirements, specifications and contract administration

CONTRACT LENGTH: 18 Months

SALARY: 8000 Euros Per Month

MOBILISATION: ASAP Immediate mobilization
