Freelance/Contract: Material Manager / Germany

The leading Energy recruitment specialist is seeking a Material Manager for a well established company based within Europe, winner of a large number of iconic power projects.

Material Manager (MM) - 5/8 years of Construction of Power Plant experience

German,English,Italian written and spoken

You report to the SM and the Head Office Material Manager .

You responsible for material management at Site.

You collect the documentation covering the arrival of materials at Site and provides for recording of their movements.

Your main responsibilities are:

• To arrange warehouse logistics according to the instructions of the SM;
• To manage the receiving, check, storage and preservation of materials delivered at Site;
• To prepare the supply non-conformity and co-ordinate non-conformity resolution;
• To ensure non-compliant material / equipment is appropriately segregated in quarantine until the disposition is agreed;
• To initiate procedures concerning insurance claims for damage to materials during transport to Site or during Construction;
• To initiate claims against suppliers for missing materials and/or NC with the purchase order;
• To inform the SPL about plant material status and delivery forecasts, in order to verify the feasibility of construction schedules;
• To hand over materials to Construction Team and subcontractors, according to the instructions given by the Discipline Supervisors;
• To keep records about the handling of materials.
