This position is based in Port Arthur, Texas
Responsibilities:
-Track, Analyze and Report: project budgets, commitments, value of work done, actuals, forecasts and
project change management.
-Support the annual budget process and provide variance analysis against the approved annual budget on a
monthly basis.
-Review and advise proper coding of project invoices as required.
-Validation of cost forecast with Activity Planning / Asset Schedule timing.
-Provide monthly accruals and forecasts to Planning group.
-Liaison with Project Team members to review and analyze cost data.
-Chairing monthly project cost review meetings with Team Leads and Project Managers.
Qualifications:
-The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a construction or operations environment within the oil and gas industry.
-Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or accounting required
-Specific experience in the following is required:
-Operations/maintenance experience preferred. This position requires the tracking of 200+
projects per year covering Topsides Mechanical Integrity activities.
-Requires a broad technical knowledge of project controls in regards to Planning and Cost Control.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP PM, MM, and FI modules
- WBS proficient
-Preferred candidate should be a self-starter, persistent, team player, detail orientated and require minimal
supervision.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under tight monthly financial reporting deadlines.
-Effective communication skills – listening, verbal and written.
-Responsible and accountable working to high performance standards.
