Currently Queensland’s Energy industry is in an exciting growth phase as such we are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to fulfil a 12 month contract position based in Queensland.
As a key member of the Owner’s team the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer will provide support to the Manage Equipment Care Team in conjunction with the Maintenance Engineering Team on creating Equipment Care / Maintenance Strategies, Job Plans, Maintenance Work Instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) administration.
The roles of Maintenance Engineer discipline specific and will depend on the candidates. Rotating equipment, static mechanical, electrical, instrument and control competence amongst the team is preferred.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer will include though are not limited to:
- Creation of Equipment Care Strategies from a list of task scopes and frequencies
- Writing of Job Plans and Preventative Maintenance routines (PMs) based on the Equipment Care Strategies and tailored for operating units
Writing of Work Instructions based on Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) output, including equipment photographs, quality assurance hold points and unambiguous acceptability criteria - Verifying / defining and creating BOMs and spare parts reorder points
- Supporting spare parts cataloguing by raising requests and providing technical information
- Updating Maximo with Job Plans, PMs, Work Instructions, and BOMs
- Verifying and updating Asset Register in parallel with creation of new items
- Defining Turnaround scope requirements, both Planned and Extraordinary Maintenance
- All QGC employees must adhere to Shell’s General Business Principles at all times and maintain full compulsory HSSE training compliance
- Site visits may be required in order to complete the core deliverables, for durations less than one week
- Time and project management – demonstrating ability to scope, schedule and perform activities accurately, and make corrections promptly where necessary
- Demonstrable experience of all Core Accountabilities
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas, or Natural Resources industries
- Understanding of Criticality Assessments, Safety Critical Elements, Performance Standards, Planned Maintenance, CMMS, Reliability Principles and Operating Philosophies
- Previous experience with RCM or other maintenance strategy assessment processes
- Ability to quickly and easily interpret various types of Cause and Effect chart, Datasheets, Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDs from different sources.
- High level of IT literacy with Microsoft products including Excel and Word
- Knowledge of sparing and inventory management
The incumbent will be will be based in Brisbane. In return for your commitment you will be offered excellent day rate commencing for 12 contract term along with the opportunity to establish yourself with an international expert.
