Operations Leader

Location: California or Colorado

Salary: In the region of $150- $180k basic + bonus

Our client is a world leading highly reputable manufacturer and service provider of control systems, components and rotating equipment. This position is responsible for multi-product family range where the jobholder will accomplish objectives through leading a multi-disciplined team to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Group Vice President.
  • Participating as a key member of the Leadership team.
  • Responsible for the product family performance including quality, delivery and cost/ budgets.
  • Participating in or leads proposals of product design.
  • Collaborating with various departments including sales, engineering, service etc.to meet customer demands, new product introductions, operations planning and production.
  • Acting as the primary representative for the product family with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Accountable for financial performance (margins, operating earnings, inventory).
  • Leading talent management initiatives (development plans, succession planning, performance management).
  • Participates in the Product Life Cycle process including R&D, product development, business case analysis, design and development etc.

Experience/ Knowledge required:

  • Must hold a strong industrial background preferably with rotating equipment or valves.
  • Must have the right to work in the USA.
  • Strong operational focus with the ability to design and implement operational strategies.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience within a leadership role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong financial ability and commercial attributes.
  • Strong management skills and experience.
  • Must hold a multi-functional background (i.e. engineering, operations, sales, marketing, project management, materials management).
  • The jobholder will have a solid understanding of business models, strategic goals and operational relationships to develop appropriate goals and objectives.
  • Undergraduate degree required. MBA desired
