Road Safety Specialist - Papua New Guinea

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Road Safety Specialist for an ongoing project in Papua New Guinea.

Opportunity:

My client is an international consultancy firm who have numerous project in and around the country and internationally for which they are working with Governmental organisations, contractors & donor funding agencies.

Responsibilities on the project:

The consultant will appoint an International Road Safety Specialist with a degree in traffic engineering and wide experience in managing complex road safety issues in both urban and rural projects. The International Road Safety Specialist will have a preferred experience of minimum of 10 years of experience. The tasks of the Road Safety Specialist will be: i) Manage the review and approval the contractor's schedule of road safety improvement works. ii) Manage and lead the monitoring and coordination of the road safety improvement works to be completed by the contractor iii) Review and approve the contractor's Traffic Management Plan and monitor its implementation.

Key requirements for the role:

• Ideally Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years road safety experience
• Ideally previous ADB experience and knowledge of reporting
• Regional experience would be beneficial

Salary Package:

The salary package shall be around $6, 500 per month plus accommodation & allowance.
