Description

Perform design and modification tasks on safety systems in projects such as:

• General knowledge of technical safety aspects including Area Classification, Ignition Source Control, Escape, Evacuation and Rescue (EER) and Passive Fire Protection systems
• Define ESD Philosophy and prepare/develop ESD Hierarchy/ESD Matrix
• Design of Fire and Gas Detection Systems and update of F&G C&E/FPDS
• Prepare and update safety layout drawings and plot plans
• Perform offshore surveys and verifications
• Follow-up of Sub-contractors and 3rd parties suppliers

Requirements

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline or related field
• A valid Basic Offshore Safety Certificate

Required Work Experience:

• Min. 3 years + relevant experience in the oil and gas industry in Norway
• Experience with major modifications project in Norway.
• Knowledge to Equinor’s internal technical requirements and Norsok standards would be an added advantage
