Senior Contractors Administrator - Water

A tier 1 major contractor is looking doe a Senior Contracts Administrator to support a Water project in Melbourne. The Program includes a range of projects across a broad geographical basis in Victoria. The Senior Commercial Administrator will have accountability for a diverse portfolio of works within the program. The joint venture environment offers a variety of challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish budgets and monitoring / reporting requirements for tenders
• Coordinate tender reviews / approvals for executive management sign off
• Preparation of end-of-month project forecasting, accruals, claims and tax invoices
• Coordination of project subcontracts and procurement processes
• Support management with subcontractor dispute resolution
• Manage securities, bank guarantee requirements and insurance requirements
• Support project engineers and managers with project variations

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or other relevant tertiary qualification in construction/engineering or commercial management
• Previous experience in either Quantity Surveying or Contract Administration for either a Design House or a Tier 1 Contractor
• Experience managing budgets and cost with a broader appreciation of earned value practices
• A good understanding of risk and opportunity as well as change control
• Ambition and a strong initiative
