Yard / Jetti Foreman / Mexico

Function description

The Yard/Jetti Foreman will be performing the following activities:

• Provide Yard and Jetty services in compliance with Company’s HSE Policies, Procedures and Shorebase Manual Guidelines.
• Monitor all work activities ensuring risk control measures are conducted prior to start of any activity.
• Work closely with Logistics Integrator providers and their respective Area Authorities (Foremen, Yard & Jetty Supervisors and equipment operators) to ensure all operational activities are conducted safely with full complement of experienced personnel required to perform the task(s).
• Organize Yard and Jetty crew schedules to meet demands of daily activity.
• During loadouts/discharges Contractor personnel shall support coordination activities between Jetty, Vessel, Yard and SBM, will be in constant radio communication in ENGLISH and SPANISH language.
• Monitor crew working hours and audit timesheets for SBM sign-off.
• First point of contact for all materials and equipment deliveries into the base.
• Prepare materials to vendor Dispatch Notes if required.
• Oversight of truck loading/unloading and ensure cargo is secured for onward transport.
• Assign and ensure good positioning of Banksmen/Signalmen and forklift spotters.
• Proactively anticipate all crane activity to ensure operators set up counterbalance weights in advance and correct rigging is on hand.
• Supervise CCU packing/unpacking to ensure MOC standards are met, color codes and certification dates in order.
• Work from prepared vessel load lists to direct crews and ensure all material and CCUs are loaded out correctly and weights are accurately recorded for transcribe to Manifest.
• Liaise with vessel deck officers prior to loading or discharge of cargo to communicate cargo handling sequences and priorities, discuss and agree deck plan and Hazardous Goods shipments.
• Review inwards vessel manifests and prepare yard/laydown areas to receive backloads, with attention to potential heavy lifts and Hazardous waste shipments, report all manifest discrepancies to SBM.
• Conduct checks of rig backloads prior to discharge to ensure cargo is safe for handling.
• Conduct pre-load and discharge CCU checks to include rigging snags and dropped object checks.
• Participate in Toolbox Talks.
• Provide support to Company during shift change handovers for yard/jetty crews to ensure full and complete handover of pending activities.
• Ensure daily plant and equipment checks are performed.
• Mentoring to the crews ensuring they follow procedures and best practice guidelines.

Requirements: You need to have at least: • More than 10 years of experience working in Oil & Gas companies. • 5+ years of experience as a Yard/Jetti Foreman • Leadership skills • Problem solver • Advanced English/Spanish skills
