Qualification
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum years’ strong experience in construction yard for the oil industry of which minimum spent in a lead construction position.
- Experience within a project team: At least relevant years’ experience within large multinational taskforce team environment,
- Available for technical missions worldwide,
- Familiar with company General Specifications, Prodom, and relevant codes and standards,
- Comprehensive knowledge in welding, material, corrosion and NDE.
- Language: Fluent English,
- Computer literate,
- Good leadership skills and good communication skills,
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
- Good analytical skills,
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
Job Responsibilities
- To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all Topsides EPC activities, Adhere to and effectively communicate Project HSEQ Policies, Intervene where HSE deficiencies are identified and report, Be promoter of HSE on worksites as a priority.
- To carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices,
- To define (with Package Lead) and manage an organization to cover all construction and QA/QC activities on contractor construction yard.
- To treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality.
- Coordinate the QC activities during construction at Contractor yard.
- Ensure that CTR’s personnel are qualified for the task they’ve been assigned to participate in the weekly meeting and in the issuance of weekly report and KPIs.
- Participate as Company Representative in the regular HSE Committee meetings & Safety Tours.
- Prepare and participate to the close-out report.
- Implement continual improvement processes, (Reporting, KPI, Lessons Learned, Close out Report).
- In case of drift in schedule, liaise with Package Lead to study remedial actions.
- Promote a “no change policy” to meet budget and schedule constraint without impairing quality and safety of the Topsides construction activities.
- To ensure that technical queries are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner,
- To manage potential deviations from the COMPANY referential with the Engineering Manager for final decision on whether or not to implement.
- To setup and manage weekly and monthly meetings with Contractor(s)/Sub-Contractor and call specific ad hoc meetings as required.
- Ensures the timely completion of the works and monitor closely Contractor performance, work schedule and progress.
- To review and approve contractor progress report.
- Ensure that all fabrication steps and pre-commissioning activities are properly completed for ready for commissioning.
- Ensures that uncompleted activities are properly tracked and recorded under the punch list system (Carry-Over).
- Liaises with the Certification Society as required to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- To identify deficiencies and develop solutions to construction (all) problems.
- To participate to regular yard coordination meetings to report activities of Construction Contractors of all disciplines including Structural, Scaffolding, Painting etc.
- To maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
- Stop the work when necessary & report immediately to Contractor any anomaly, violation & unsafe practice.
