Estimating Manager / Australia

Our client is an established construction company that specialises in new build projects across retail, commercial and education. After winning numerous awards for their projects across the years, they continue to expand and develop the team.

Due to continued success they are looking to bring on an Estimating Manager to head up their estimating team which comprises of three existing estimators currently.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Estimating Manager will include:

• Managing the estimating team
• Perform trade break ups of documentation, appropriate trade subcontractor selection lists, and liaise with subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required scope of works and programme
• Final preparation and presentation of rated and coded Bill of Quantities and/or cost plan for internal review and issuing appropriate information to stakeholders
• Regular meetings with subcontractors throughout the tender period to ensure the most competitive pricing and accurate bids

Essential criteria for the Estimating Manager joining:

• Demonstrated analytical abilities 
• Have some knowledge of construction as well as Fit out/Refurb
• Proven experience as an estimator in commercial Construction/Fit Out
• Tender up to $50m
• Strong attention to detail
