PIPING PROJECT ENGINEER
Work Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia
To work closely together with the construction manager and the project team to ensure that all assigned projects that have a project or site based piping installation or review are executed safely, on time, and within budget in accordance with the contract and International Maritime Industries Management System (IMIMS).
The candidate must be able to demonstrate significant expertise in the on-site supervision of a piping team and be able to collaborate with other departments and communicate results and concerns to the higher management. To work under pressure and drive a team to completion against aggressive timelines and work scopes.
The responsibilities:
Good knowledge of the relevant Piping & Rig Based Layout codes and standards.
Good knowledge of Piping for Rigs design techniques, installation and analysis methods, fabrication yard procedures and onshore / offshore equipment.
Exposure to statutory requirements and codes applicable to onshore / offshore Oil and Gas industry.
Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, etc.
Experience in the oil and gas sector and New Build Rigs in particular
Knowledge of project controls within discipline.
Ability to lead, supervise and work in multi-disciplinary project teams environment.
Good inter-personal leadership, coaching, communication and presentation skills.
Experienced in site based planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
Competent in commercial, contractual and administrative aspects of engineering.
Experienced in estimating man- hours and materials for most aspects of work.
Experienced in working with other disciplines and sections to meet delivery dates.
Experience:
A minimum of 8-12 years of full-range piping engineering experience in a Rig or Offshore Environment petroleum refinery or petro-chemical plant required.
Qualifications:
Technical Engineering Qualification. (Diploma or equivalent) Proven experience in Welding/Piping Team supervision on site.
A degree in a relevant field maybe required for sponsorship.
