Geotechnical Monitoring Coordinator - Sweden

Main purpose of position:

To manage structural, geotechnical and hydro logical monitoring activities in the project during design and construction stage.

Responsibility:

• Coordination of topographical, structural, geotechnical and hydro logical monitoring
• Monitoring control plans coordination and implementation during construction process
• Collaboration and participating in the meetings with the Client
• Responsible for managing monitoring subcontractors

Scope and characteristics of work:

• Verification of the correctness of measurements, instruments and equipment installation
• Planning the procurement and installation of monitoring instruments according to production schedule
• Notifying to Client and Designer on the achievement of the threshold values
• Calling up technical meetings with Designer and Client in case thresholds are exceeded
• Preparation of weekly geotechnical and hydro logical reports and monthly reports
• Support in hydro logical and geotechnical topics e.g. soil investigations, pumping tests, infiltration etc.
• Quality check of monitoring works to be performed according to contractual requirements, local norms and monitoring control plans
• Optimisation of monitoring with both technical and financial aspects
• Communication and meetings both internally and with client (monitoring meetings, communication with surveying, geotechnical, hydro teams of our Client)
• Following progress of works to make link between monitoring data and activities on site which could cause the impact on the surrounding

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Swedish
• Monitoring management/coordination experience
• Web based monitoring platforms user experience
• Topography/geological/civil engineering educational background
