THE ROLE

I am now seeking a CHARTERED QUANTITY SURVEYOR in DOHA, QATAR who has experience of working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants to fill a role of Senior Quantity Surveyor.

A background working for another firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants is essential.

You will be involved in both pre contract and post contract work, writing reports and letters and supervising others.

Projects are generally of high value and complex in nature including large mixed use buildings and more.

THE CLIENT

My client is a firm of Chartered Quantity Surveying consultants with one office in Qatar.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor and your BSc or BSc Hons must be in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics. My client is NOT interested in candidates with degrees in any other subject as they are unable to get visas for people with degrees in other subjects.

You must also be MRICS qualified as a Quantity Surveyor.

You will have worked for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary construction consultants. My client is not seeking people who have been working for contractors.

The ideal candidate will have gained eight years or more post graduation experience working for a firm of PQS ideally in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand.

You should have excellent communication and client facing skills, have good written and spoken English for letters, reports etc.

You should have worked on a variety of building projects.

You should be able to supervise others.

Previous experience of working in the Middle East is not required.

My client would ideally prefer candidates from the U.K., Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand.

Salary is in the region of 32000 QAR per month to 42000 QAR per month plus health insurance, bonus etc.
