Introduction

The materials & Corrosion engineer is part of the technical department reliability group.
The overall responsibility of the technical department is:

Technical/technology support of the manufacturing organization relative to its safe, compliant and efficient operations.

Owner of the capital projects portfolio from inception to execution
-
Owner of the asset integrity management programs
-
Owner/Custodian of the technical/engineering master data
The role of the reliability engineers is to develop, own and follow through on the asset integrity program(s) to assure safe, compliant operations to meet the BA plant availability.

Description
The materials and corrosion engineer monitors the condition of all mechanical
equipment in close coordination with the inspection department. He/she investigates
and participates in root cause analyses relative to failure mechanism, when
failure(s) occur and provides remedies to prevent re-occurrence of these
incidents.
The materials and corrosion engineer monitors provides input to the
effective material selection of the company engineering projects during the
design phase and providing assurance that the selected materials are in line
with the company/international standards and specifications.

Requirements
Level of working and thinking
Academic or HBO level
Education / experience
-
Academic or HBO level in metallurgical, mechanical
engineering and preferably corrosion engineering
-
Minimum 7 years experience in process of refineries,
chemical plant
Interactive skills
Good communicating skills at
various levels, from the management level to the operational level
