Our client is an established tier 2 multi-sector builder that focuses on new build projects from $20m - $250m in Melbourne. The company was founded over 100 years ago and since its inception, has been one of the largest builders in Australia with over 70 live projects at any one time.
Due to a full order book for 2019/20 and a number of newly awarded projects hitting the ground in the coming weeks, the HSEQ Manager for Victoria is looking to appoint a site based HSE Manager in Mornington on an oil & gas project.
Role:
As the HSE Manager based on site, this role would suit someone who is very resilient to clients and has Civils or Oil & Gas experience as an HSE Manager.

Role:
As the HSE Manager based on site, this role would suit someone who is very resilient to clients and has Civils or Oil & Gas experience as an HSE Manager.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Inspecting the construction site and induct workplace equipment, to ensure they meet safety regulations and to identify any hazards and risks.
- Conduct internal audits, Toolbox Talks & Inductions
- Ensure that the workplace conforms to organisational procedures and safety standards.
- Chairing client meetings alongside the Project Manager
- Work with engineers and other professionals to ensure the safety of worksites and work practices.
- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Cert IV in WH&S (Diploma preferred)
- Civil / Oil & Gas construction H&S experience (essential)
- Minimum of 4 years experience as the lead HSE individual on projects in excess of $15m (essential)
