Corrosion Training Specialist / Algeria

Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a “Training Specialist” to be based in “Algeria”.

Location: Hassi Messaoud  - Algeria  (Contract)

Key duties will include:

• Provide training to local Engineers in both French and English.
• Support training department requirements and demands when necessary.
• Ensure equipment and tooling is calibrated before use.
• Work in accordance with the 'Work To List'.
• To achieve 'start date' and “finish date” adherence against the relevant operation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and the elimination of non-value-added activities, whilst maintaining the necessary quality standards.
• Liaise daily with the Team Leader and, where necessary, production teams.
• Responsible for personal Health and Safety.
• Support Sigma Components with any audits associated with the process.
• It will be your responsibility to ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained and that you are always endeavouring to produce world class products.
• Where appropriate you will liaise with the customer on any technical issue.

Requirements and any of the following certifications:

Corrosion Monitoring Functions:

1. Level 1 Under any of the following certification:

• Degree of Baccalaureate de Technician or bachelor’s degree in suitable technical / engineering studies.
• Good writing and speaking French and English skills.
• Good computer skills, reporting and communication
• Good health and physical condition
• Good team working attitude with mutual respect between workers.
• Holding valid driving licence and able to drive in desert area
• Minimum experience 2 to 5 years.
• Should pass client interview

one or more of the following qualifications:

1. Trained and certified in online retrieving tool testing, operating and maintenance (COSASCO mechanical / Roxar ex-Corrocean hydraulic).
2. Trained and certified in online hot tap tool testing, operating and maintenance (COSASCO / Metal Sample, Roxar ex-Corrocean).
3. Relevant experience in oil and gas industry
4. Good knowledge on safety requirement for pressurized equipment manipulation
5. Knowledge in routine activities related to CM, such as sampling, deposits collection, flushing…  

1. Level 2 Under any of the following certification:

• University Degree in technical / engineering studies.
• Good writing and speaking French and English skills.
• Good computing skills, reporting and communication
• Good knowledge of codes and standards.
• Good health and physical condition
• Good team working attitude with mutual respect behave.
• Holding valid driving licence and able to drive in desert area
• Minimum experience 5 to 10 years.
• Should pass client interview

One or more of the following qualifications:

1. Qualified to configure and use corrosion data base management software (Amulet C3, Multitrend, Cosaco Corrdata).
2. Qualified to configure and use corrosion data loggers and readers.
3. Trained in corrosion coupons and probes processing at both field and lab
4. Trained in corrosion rate assessment following NACE RP0775
5. Good knowledge in CM planning and reporting
