An oil and gas major client currently require a Contracts and Procurement Manager for a major capital LNG bunkering project to be based in Paris, France for FEED before moving to Muscat, Oman for execution.
The Contracts and Procurement Manager be responsible for leading the contracts, procurement, expediting and claims activities; Manage the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of contracts; Represent LNGB team on Contract issues; Ensure Contract Variations are identified early; Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with contractors is efficiently handled; Ensure commitments and milestones are achieved; Advise payment terms accordingly; Administration of legal issues related to damages, claims, disputes, litigations; Provide advice and seek counsel on contractual, commercial, taxation insurance and legal issues; Provide contract/procurement advice to relevant managers; Ensure procurement and contract administration is being carried out efficiently utilizing Company approved procedures; and other ad hoc duties.
You will have a Bachelors degree within Engineering or Business; Experience in contract formulation activities, systems and processes coupled with a superior working knowledge of engineering, construction and service delivery practices operating in Fabrication/Construction yards; and understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process.
You will be flexible upon working location during different phases of the project.
Please note, due to the initial phase of the project, you must be eligible to work in France / EU.
