Application Engineer

Location: Albany, New York

Salary: Competitive + annual bonus + benefits.

Our client is a leading OEM and service provider of rotating equipment. They are now looking for numerous application engineers to support the sales and engineering teams providing conceptual designs for the customer.

Experience/ knowledge required:

• Fluent in English - written and verbal
• Qualified to degree level within a relevant subject - e.g. Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with rotating equipment - compressors, gas/ steam turbines, pumps etc.
• Excellent communication skills
• Has a real interest in the field of rotating equipment - preferably turbo-machinery
• Understanding of rotor-dynamics

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Application Engineering Manager
• Providing conceptual designs based on customer specifications
• Communicating between various departments, particularly engineering and Sales teams
• Development and preparation of technical and commercial proposals
• Support sales force worldwide with inquires and proposals
• Review customer specifications, conduct compressor calculations, prepare comments and exceptions in accordance with product's capabilities
