An oil and gas major client currently requires an Export Compliance Specialist to join an upstream team to be based in Sunbury for a 12 month renewable contract.
The Export Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing subject matter expertise to ensure compliance with export regulations applicable to the international procurement and shipment of materials by Clients Upstream segment.
You will monitor/review purchase orders and proposed exports to ensure compliance with export control laws; Classify materials for export and provide guidance for classification of materials; Interface with suppliers and/or manufacturers to determine and/or validate classifications of materials; Create, update and maintain a database of classified materials; Interface with Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Category Management and Materials Management teams to ensure compliance with export control laws; Assist in developing, deploying and maintaining export control processes, procedures and systems; and other ad hoc duties.
You will have education / certificates within export compliance; experience within Harmonised Tariff Schedule classifications; Experience designing and implementing an export control program in a multinational organisation; Experience implementing an automated export management software solution and configuring license determination processes; Experience with SAP transaction reporting.
It is essential you are eligible to work in the UK.
