We are a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a large Oil and Gas operator, is currently seeking a Project Manager for a 1 year contract in Calgary, AB. The individual must be local or have their own accommodations, as no LOA is given. The shift is Monday-Friday.
Description
Supports all phases of projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary contact for project activities, leading project review sessions with customer to discuss budget, schedule, and scope. Project Management Ownership of a functional (Finance) work stream and related operating cadence including milestones and monitors adherence to project plan, manages project RAID log , and facilitates change control. Liaise with business function leader to understand ongoing needs. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
·Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
·Minimum of 4- 7 years of progressively responsible and related experience in program management with expertise in ERP and agile methodologies, demonstrating thought leadership, strategic and critical thinking.
·Proven interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influence and leadership skills.
·Demonstrated ability to be innovative, initiate, and lead or manage change.
Preferred
·PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
·Proven experience using project management methodologies to deliver business value and drive significant change across an organization.
·Experience managing budgets including budget, spend, and liquidations
·Strong understanding and knowledge of various project and portfolio management methodologies with track record of implementing shared standards for large organizations.
·Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes, lead manage and organize teams to attain shared goals
·Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization.
·Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals
·Strong team player collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
·Experience working with others on a global basis
·Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others
.Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills -communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans.
