Description
Description of role
• The Project Manager is managing the Subsea Project on behalf of the Field Development project in the company.
• The Subsea Feed Manager shall ensure that the Subsea project scope is well defined, an appropriate organization is in place to support and follow up the Subsea Alliance deliveries, and that management systems are followed to ensure the project can be executed safely, efficiently and according to given mandate.
• The Project Manager is responsible to delivering a subsea facility that can be operated safely to create value for the company. During project execution, the Project Manager shall ensure “see-to-duty” of the scope to ensure that the subsea project work is being accomplished safely and the scope is being developed in accordance with the specified requirements, codes, standards and regulations.
• The Subsea Project Manager shall ensure coordination with all involved project departments and closely follow up the subsea alliance, different contractors and suppliers on interfaces, technical queries, deviations, variation orders, document control, risk management and work processes that affect the project’s priorities.
Main responsibilities
• Authority to deliver the Subsea Project
• Ensure a robust one-team HSE focused project culture and organization within the company and with the Subsea Alliance
• Ensure the project scope is completely defined including battery limits and interfaces between other project units, between contractors and stakeholders
• “See-to-Duty” related to scope deliveries and ensuring the scope is being developed in accordance with specified codes, standards and regulations
• Ensure project management systems have been established, maintained and followed
• Establish effective work processes and systems to allow for efficient information flow within the project.
• Ensure technical compliance, integrity and integration of the project scope
• Manage (identify, initiate, review, approve) scope changes affecting the subsea project
• Coordinate with all BU’s and Contractors to identify risks affecting project-level priorities
• Monitor and control subsea project scope including; reporting, stakeholder management, cost control, schedule management
• Accountable for the project delivery from the Subsea Alliance
Deliverables
• Deliver the Subsea FEED study according to given mandate and scope of work
• Deliver a flow efficient, cost effective and safe project on time
• Utilization of the subsea alliance to the best effect
• Ensure proper and aligned reporting both internally and externally where applicable
Interfaces and dependencies
• Proactive and efficient management of the Subsea Alliance mandate and deliveries to Field development Subsea
• Efficient decision making from the facilities team and other BU’s on critical tasks
• Support from other BUs to get necessary interface information
