Senior Environmental Specialist (Highways) - Georgia

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Specialist for an on-going Highways project in Georgia.

Opportunity:

My client is one of the largest global engineers in the infrastructure field who from their base in Asia has projects across the globe. They are requiring a Senior Environmental Specialist focused on around 50km's of secondary roads in Georgia. This is a 10 month assignment to be based in country and start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

The specialist will be responsible to the Team Leader for all environmental aspects of the project, including ensuring that the project's environmental management plan is implemented effectively. As part of an international team the Environmental Specialist shall be responsible for preparation of environmental impact assessments, reviewing & approving the contractors SSEMP as well as managing the Projects Environmental Management Plan.

Key requirements for the role:

• Environmental protection or similar degree, preferably with post graduate qualifications.
• Environmental protection or similar degree, preferably with postgraduate qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant experience in similar projects of supervision of road construction/rehabilitation.
• Proven practical experience in conducting vibration surveys and impact assessment related to construction activities.
• Experience in ADB funded projects will be an advantage.
• Regional experience

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The salary package on offer is around $8- 9,000 tax free as well as a full expatriate package including Flights, accommodation etc.
