Senior Cementing Engineer

International E&P Operating Company looking to recruit a Senior Cementing Engineer to work on their offshore Jack-up & Platform operations.

Job Purpose
·Provide Engineering and Operational cementing support for drilling, and Workover activities.
·Develop and implement basis of design in conjunction with drilling and Workover engineers pertaining cementing.
·Reports to: Head of Drilling Fluid and Cementing

Duties, Responsibilities,
·Develops and implements Basis of Design in conjunction with drilling and Workover engineers.
·Updates Cementing standards as required.
·Ensures contractor delivery to international standards by leading cement audits including Audit of contractor labs in their main facilities, Audit of contractor labs at the rig sites and Audit of contractor site mixing and pumping operations.
·Reviews and enhance slurry and spacer designs.
·Improves loss circulation cement plug efficiency.
·Works with a team to enhance primary job zonal isolations.
·Post-job review of primary zonal isolation.
·Provides reports and presentations to department and company management as required.

Other requirements
·Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering discipline
·IWCF Well Control certified or equivalent
·10+ years' experience
·Detailed knowledge & experience of well cement engineering & operations.
·Experience working for Service companies and Operators.
·A proven ability to coach, train and mentor staff.
·Strong team player and ability in a similar technical specialist role.
·Experience of managing third party contractual relationships.
·Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
·Knowledge of cement contracts.
·Experience working in a remote location in a multicultural environment is preferred.
·Flexible work approach.
·Action oriented, readily available to travel to the field on short notice in support of cementing operations.
