Engineering Manager

Location: New York

Salary: In the region of $110k - $130k basic per annum + 20% variable compensation + car allowance + 15% annual bonus + benefits.

Our client is a leading OEM and service provider of rotating equipment. They are now looking for an Engineering Manager to be responsible for supervising and directing the package and core engineering teams.

Experience/ knowledge required:

• Fluent in English - written and verbal
• Qualified to degree level within a relevant subject - e.g. Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with rotating equipment - compressors, gas/ steam turbines, pumps etc.
• Ideally 8-15 years' experience
• Experience of managing a team
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• SAP - Desirable

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the General Manager
• Deliver precision. Continuously monitor progress in engineering and testing, take corrective actions as necessary.
• Take an active role in representing the company with a high level of technical competence at international shows, conferences etc.
• Contribute to various specific journals, as well as conferences with technical papers.
• Be responsible for engineering quality, cost and timeliness.
• Use continuous improvement concepts to improve quality standard and through put time of engineering projects, both packaging and product development.
• Coordinate activities between engineering and its internal vendors and customers.
• Oversee proper project cost management and cost control of orders.
• Direct Project Managers to maintain strong project communication.
• Responsible for staffing and professional development of personnel within the project teams with a focus on training.
