  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 12 months (renewable on agreement)
  • Salary: Negotiable
  • Rotation: 4 months and 14 days paid home leave.
  • Accommodation / Meals / Flights / Insurances provided by Client
  • Experience in at least twenty-year-experience as Quantity Surveyor / Contract Specialist
    Working experience in hydroelectric power plant project (Essential)
    Working experience in arbitration (Preferred)
  • Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Quantity Surveying or Arbitration.
    Knowledge of Contract, Claims and Dispute resolution with various international standard in construction project.
    Knowledge of Quantity Surveying ; Establish Cost and Budget Control
  • View all correspondence and draft any replies of a contractual nature to ensure protection of Client interests at all times.
    Draft, review, correct correspondence as and when requested by staff.
    Ensure any extension of time or additional payment events are notified to the Engineer in compliance with GCC clause 20.1.
    Prepare all claims for extensions of time and or additional payment including submission, negotiation and agreement with the Engineer/Employer up to the issue of a Contract Amendment.
    Provide monthly updates of any live claims in compliance with GCC clause 20.1. Prepare all supporting documentation to accompany the claim submission
    Advise on claim strategy if required and provide any flow charts or explanatory notes as may be required.
    Attend monthly and weekly progress meetings with the Engineer/Employer.
    Attend coordination meetings with the Engineer/Employer and other LOT contractors.
    Attend internal management meetings with the JV partner and take all necessary minutes.
    Keep abreast of correspondence appertaining to JV works and advise Client if required.
    Prepare any cost or claim status reports and summaries as may be required.
    Defend any claims lodged against Client from the Employer or other LOT contractors and sub- contractors.
    Organize local support staff to help prepare claim submissions
    Generally, carry out requests from Client so far as they concern QS contract administration matters.
