Senior Network Project Manager – 5 Months Contract - Manchester

ESSENTIAL – Experience of working on Networks/Data Centre. Experience of working to a budget of £2 million. Previous experience of network deliverables. managing complex, estate wide networks project/s. Experience of implementing different kinds of network links, integration, cut over and migration activities (will involve wide outages so experience of managing business areas/expectations).  Public Sector experience would be a bonus.
 

The Senior Network Project Manager will join the Data Centre Programme to pick up this high priority project mid flight to give my client certainty of delivery.


My client is using multiple technical suppliers to deliver the new network to my public sector client’s two new data centres.
 

The Senior Network Project Manager will need to oversee all the works and further develop the end to end plan, manage the dependencies and budget to ensure that this network is delivered on time for early September.  

Looking for a strong Project Manager with Network and technical skills set to hit the ground running.

Senior Network Project Manager Previous experience of network deliverables, is a must, as is strong supplier and budget management skills. 

Senior Network Project Manager to have experience in the following fields is a requirement:

  • Proven experience of managing multiple suppliers
  • Proven experience of managing complex, estate wide networks project/s
  • Proven experience of managing large budgets in the region of £2m+
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a multi- disciplined programme team
Must have experience of implementing different kinds of network links, integration, cut over and migration activities (will involve wide outages so experience of managing business areas/expectations). 

The contractor will need to have governance experience too as there will be a joint project and programme board at which they will be expected to produce the pack and present to senior stakeholders. 

The majority of the changes will be carried out, out of hours so will need flexibility to work unsociable hours/weekends as and when the project dictates. 

Time of in lieu is granted but contractors are expected to work a professional working week without additional payments.
