Job Purpose
Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) is a group within a company's finance organization that provides senior management with a forecast of the company's profit and loss (income statement) and operating performance for the upcoming quarter and year. And also responsible for budgeting, forecasting and analytical processes that support an organization's financial health and business strategy.
Primary Accountabilities
Functional Knowledge (40%)
- Lead the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process for the company
- Prepare presentations in support of board and shareholder meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the company.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information
- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Instrumental in the success of the month end process
Business Expertize (10%)
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Practices as per IFRS applied in practice
- Transactional data processing knowledge via business end to end process
- Finance Development
- Developing personal finance knowledge and skill set with a continuous improvement ethos
- Financial Knowledge Transfer & Acumen
- Contribute to workshops for key elements in the financial reporting calendar e.g. Performance Management & Business Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Financial Close and Month / Year end, Financial Contracts review, Transactional data processing etc.
- Financial Framework & Governance
- Contribute to new or revise current accounting policy and procedures as required by the business while operating within IFRS guidelines
- Audit Schedules, Issues and Queries completed and resolved
- Accounts Reconciliation as per month end requirements
- Data Analysis and Presentation as required
Nature of Impact (10%)
- Ensuring core finance date is accurate, at required Audit standards and delivered within required timeframes
- Ensures business queries are resolved and responded to in a timely manner

Job Requirements
Education Requirements:
Degree or Degree Equivalent Work Experience
Financial planning and analysis experience
4 years in a core Finance position within the Construction industry preferred
Forecasting future budget need
License / Certification / Accreditation:
Part Qualified and studying towards Professional Accountancy Qualification e.g. CPA, CMA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.
Language Requirement:
Excellent Verbal and Written English
Arabic Language (Spoken/Written) Will Be An Advantage
