Drilling Engineer / Netherlands

Description

• Act as the company’s technical representative and is involved in the technical planning and monitoring of the drilling program under the direction of the Senior Drilling Engineer (SDE/Drilling Engineering Team Lead) or Drilling Superintendent in execution phase.
• Perform the work for designing, engineering, execution support of the drilling program with particular emphasis on HSEQ performance, technical improvement and cost-effective delivery. 
• Be involved with all aspects of well design and planning, and provide inputs in technology selection and contracting strategy for achieving well objectives, and provide overall operational support and planning as part of the drilling execution team (Drilling Superintendent).
• Be capable of performing engineering tasks and support operations associated with drilling and completion activities as well as operational On-Duty tasks.
• Direct and Mentor Junior Drilling Engineers 

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 years' experience in well engineering design, planning and operations
• Prior operating company experience
• Experience with drilling services contraction process; RFP, tendering, vendor evaluation and selection
• Ability to develop or review drilling engineering standards using good industry practices
• Advanced skills with industry software
