CONTRACTS MANAGER
We are currently seeking a Contracts Manager who has BIMCO experience to observe the adherence of the Administration of Contracts.
Objective
- Ensure fully auditable dossiers and registers for each unit,
- Ensuring Contract execution in line with provisions of the contracts,
- Establish effective relationships with Operations JVs and Clients as necessary to provide efficient communication, notifications and process,
- Ensure internal agreements are maintained for Operation JV’s to Fleet Support,
- Minimise exposures and penalties,
- Maximise revenues,
- Ensure proactive contract management.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Prepare claims report for ROW and consolidate claims reports for all units worldwide,
- Establish Contract Requirements Plan for each O&M and Charter,
- Monitor the performance and compliance of the contractual requirements and expedite where necessary and highlight potential areas of concern,
- Provide commercial and contractual support to shore base and /or unit contract managers,
- Contribute to the commercial and contractual awareness across the Units throughout the life of the contract(s),
- Support any and ensure cash flow, invoicing issues are addressed and managed efficiently,
- Management and development of contract managers in Region 2 (ROW)
CLAIM / CHANGE MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION
Objective
- Develop strategies for each claim,
- Maximise revenue,
- Clarity in process applicable rates.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Support and advise on strategy to defend changes or claims as required,
- Contractual support and position,
- Ensure Documentation, filing and back up is done,
- Participate in negotiations,
REPORTING / GENERAL
Objective
- Develop dossier for each unit capturing key contract terms and strategy for recovery of claims,
- Ensure strategy proposal is available to enable strategic decisions,
- Provide contractual lessons learned for future contract.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Coordinate and collate input for the Cost/Financial and Management Reporting as required,
- Collate feedback on project issues,
- Participate and contribute to improvement and general support to contracts
- Coordinate and organise bi-monthly review meetings with key stakeholders Operations HQ management.
Main Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or other related areas of study
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience with international contract negotiation, administration and management
- Strong contract modelling software skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Understand inter disciplinary relations and requirements
- Microsoft Office software
- Ability to meet objectives within designated constraints
- BIMCO Experience
