Category Team Lead - Oil and Gas Major / England

An oil and gas major currently require a Category Team Lead – Logistics & HSE for a 12 month renewable contract to be based in Sunbury, UK.

The Category Team Lead – Logistics & HSE leads the day-to-day operations of procurement within the boundaries of a pre-established framework and supply agreements for products and services;  Implements Procurement Operating Standards including P2P controls and Delegation of Authority for Sourcing and Commitment; Deploys PSCM common processes; Executes Logistics & HSE Sector Strategies; Conducts Category management of delegated Logistics & HSE categories; Leads PSCM Logistics & HSE contractor safety management, supplier quality management and supplier performance management; Builds and manages supplier relationships and drives continuous improvement; and Leads and coaches an international team based across multiple locations.

You will have a university degree or equivalent within PSCM, business or technical subject with a CIPS (or equivalent) qualification. You will have previous experience of managing a team in a project environment in Category Management; Managed significant spend up to approximately $500M per annum; Developing global framework agreements; Procurement and execution in complex international environments within oil and gas; and have worked on a complex JV project.

It is essential that you are fluent in English. Arabic will be highly advantageous.
