Bridge Resident Engineer - Bangladesh

We are seeking an experienced Bridge Resident Engineer for an on going bridge project in Bangladesh.

Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major Rail Bridge and play a key role in its successful delivery as part of an International Team.

The project shall last for at least a further 12 months with possible extensions and further projects.

Responsibilities:

The Resident Engineer shall be based on site and Supervise the Construction phase of the project. Working alongside technical leaders for rail systems, track etc. you shall be the leading authority on all aspects relating to the bridge structure. Additional duties for the role are:

• Ensure work is carried out according to design, schedule and quality.
• Handle & authorise amendments to design
• Draft Work Procedure Manual, required drawings & methodology and detailed proposal for submission for approval.
• Manage and superintend the works of the staff working under him, day-to-day field working and utilization of available experts to monitor the construction works and provide assistance during defect liability period.
• Assign specific tasks to the national senior, mid-level and junior Bridge Engineers for successful implementation of the work.
• Address RFIs submitted by the Contractor for construction of Bridge/Culverts/viaducts/road over bridges etc.
• Assist "The Engineer" for time and cost management for the successful construction of structures.
• Dealing with any other work assigned by "The Engineer" as per provision of TOR.

Key requirements for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 20 years of experience in Bridge construction projects
• Previous developing world experience (ideally South, South East Asia or Africa)
• Long Span bridge experience

Salary Package:

The salary package on offer is flexible depending on experience but shall be around $12-14,000 per month
