We are responsible for delivering quality service, safely, on time, within budget whilst ensuring the technical integrity of onshore and offshore assets. We actively promote the highest standards of HSEQ and at all times act within our Just Care procedures. The engineering department, consisting of experienced, multi-discipline engineering personnel within a new project due to commence in Q2 2019 is seeking to strengthen the team through the recruitment of experienced senior Safety & Loss Prevention Engineers.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To assist the Lead or Principal engineer in meeting project requirements and performing all technical duties in a highly competent and efficient manner
  • To be aware of and adhere to our values, systems and processes including PEM and AKIMS
  • Co-ordinate any required safety engineering related resource requirements e.g. 3rd parties who provide independent chair facilities for the team ensuring technical quality and timely work performance
  • Execute technical duties in a competent and professional manner and in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure work is completed on Schedule and within budget
  • Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication and commissioning issues
  • Use of computerised information processing both general and specialist for Safety Engineering such as PHAST, FRED, CIRRUS, BOWTIE XP and PIPNET
  • Preparing and managing qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including HAZOP, HAZID
  • Prepare technical safety engineering reports, undertake numerical calculations, review and formally check/sign off documentation and provide HSE technical engineering advice
  • Provide on-going Technical Safety Engineering support to the Project team
 

Qualifications / Personal Attributes:               

  • Educated to degree level in engineering discipline/ Educated to HNC/HND level in engineering discipline
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer preferred
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
  • Conversant with appropriate technical software
  • Aware of latest technical developments
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Ability to direct and guide engineers and designers
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Good team working skills, Pro-active attitude
