Senior Leading Hand / Australia

An established civil contractor with a diverse portfolio engaging in projects in the greater Melbourne region is currently seeking a Senior Leading Hand to join their team on a permanent basis based on their flagship site in the western suburbs. My client has a reputation for delivering projects on schedule and within budget, so the time has come for the growing, once small family business to bring in new talent to grow with the company.

In the subdivisional space, core responsibilities within the role include supervising the construction activities across the site, solving arising problems from contract disputes to materials not arriving on time, maintaining safety and legality as well as liaising with relevant bodies. The ability to be able to get on the tools and train up personnel as required is essential.  

To be successful, you must possess a minimum of 5 years experience in Civil Construction with the last 3 being in a supervisory role, supported by relevant certifications. Subdivision, bulk earth works and paving experience are a must.
